3iii 2021 – SEASON 5

(Pronounced as THREE Eye and also known as S5, S-5, Season-5)

3iii stands for International Indian Icon, in 2021 entered into its 5th season by bringing Asia and India into the competition along with all other countries of other six continents as per plan. S5 gave opportunity to global Indian talent to show their talent at international level by participating in 3iii 2022 S5.

Ajit Bains from Arun Thakar from Delhi joined 3iii as 3iii India partner to host 3iii Indian Icon 2021 in Delhi which was conducted successfully with participation from all over India.

Introduction to 3iii Season 5 (2021)

3iii 2021 S5 was hosted both online and onsite to give opportunity to maximum number of participants from all over the world.  What sets 3iii apart is its innovative hybrid model, which combines online and in-person participation, removing geographic barriers and allowing Indian talent worldwide to compete on an international stage. This also gave opportunity to hidden talent who could not participate in any talent competition due many reasons like lake of finances, geographical boundaries, time constraints etc. Plus introduction of all talent categories i.e., Singing, Dance, Instruments, Fashion, Acting, Comedy and I Got Talent (IGT: Any talent) and all age groups Junior, Senior and Super Senior gave opportunity to all type of talent and people really liked the concept and participating increase globally.  

Challenge of COVID-19 still was looming, Gee Vision Inc. (USA ) and Gee Vision India Pvt. Ltd. (India) joined hands together to host 3iii S9 in India and Chicago irrespective of COVID challenges. 3iii S9 onsite semifinals were planned in Delhi, India and Chicago, USA while Finale and Grand-finale was planned in Chicago, USA during last week of Dec 2021.  

Season 5 Highlights – 2021

Global Expansion to the India, Asia
As per original 3iii plan, 1st 5 seasons were planned to launch as per following agenda and 2021 was the climax of 3iii plan with inclusion of India and Asia in 3iii Global Talent Competition.

2. 3iii 2018 Season-II / Season-2 Season 2, S2, S2:  Countries included North America USA, Canada, Caribbean, UK and Europe

3. 3iii 2019 Season-III / Season-3 Season 3, S3, S 3: Countries included North America USA, Canada, Caribbean, UK, Europe Countries, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji

4. 3iii 2020 Season-IV / Season-4 Season 4, S4, S 4: Countries included North America USA, Canada, Caribbean, UK, Europe Countries, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, All countries of Middle East (UAE, Dubai Kuwait, Qatar etc.)  

5. 3iii 2021 Season-V / Season-5, Season 5, S5, S 5: Countries included North America USA, Canada, Caribbean, UK, Europe Countries, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, All countries of Middle East (UAE, Dubai Kuwait, Qatar etc.), India and all countries of Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Nepal etc.) – included all countries of the world.   

Season 5 marked a significant milestone with the successful launch of 3iii in the India and Asia. This expansion brought the unique platform to Indian talent across the region, offering them an unprecedented opportunity to compete on the global stage. The response was overwhelming, with the Indian diaspora in the Middle East enthusiastically embracing this long-awaited chance to showcase their skills.

Following this success, 3iii 2022 experienced substantial growth, broadening its reach across multiple continents and welcoming participants from all age groups and artistic disciplines. This solidified 3iii as a truly inclusive and global talent platform.

Singing Evaluation Criteria

Solo Singing Evaluation Criteria (Online / Onsite)

  1. Vocal Quality
    Assessment of the singer’s tone, clarity, vocal texture, dynamic control, and pronunciation. Focuses on overall vocal strength and consistency.
  2. Rhythm & Timing
    Evaluation of the singer’s ability to stay on beat, maintain consistent tempo, and align with the musical rhythm throughout the performance.
  3. Lyrics Proficiency
    Accuracy and fluency in delivering the lyrics, including memorization, diction, and articulation.
  4. Artistic Presentation
    Analysis of mood, intensity, style, phrasing, tempo, climax, dynamics, and word emphasis—contributing to the song's overall emotional impact.
  5. Musicianship
    Judged on tonal expression, breath control, vocal projection, memory, rhythm precision, and technical control of the voice.
  6. Expressivity & Interpretation
    Ability to emotionally engage the audience and convey the meaning of the song through vocal nuances and interpretation.
  7. Performance Execution
    Overall act quality, including pitch accuracy, stage presence, confidence, and the impression left on the audience and judges.

Duet Singing Evaluation Criteria (Online / Onsite)

  1. Vocal Quality & Blend
    Assessment of vocal tone, clarity, control, dynamics, and how well the voices complement each other in harmony and texture.
  2. Timing & Synchronization
    Evaluation of rhythm alignment, coordination between singers, and overall timing. Identifies any off-beat or off-key moments.
  3. Lyrics Proficiency
    Mastery of lyrics, including memorization, pronunciation, and lyrical clarity during the performance.
  4. Artistic Presentation
    Analysis of the duo's expressive style, stage presence, mood, tempo, phrasing, and overall delivery impact.
  5. Musicality & Expression
    Evaluation of tonal expression, breath control, vocal projection, emotional depth, and pitch/rhythm accuracy.
  6. Performance Execution
    Overall coordination, stage interaction, harmony, and the final impression left by the act as a complete artistic presentation.

Group Singing Evaluation Category (Online / Onsite)

  1. Vocal Quality
    Assessment of voice clarity, tone, pitch control, dynamics, pronunciation, and overall vocal texture.
  2. Timing & Synchronization
    Evaluation of how well the group maintains rhythm and sings in unison, including harmony alignment and detection of any off-key vocals.
  3. Lyrics Mastery
    Confidence and accuracy in delivering lyrics from memory, including articulation and fluency.
  4. Presentation
    Overall performance style, including stage presence, mood, emotional delivery, visual coordination, and audience engagement.
  5. Overall Impact
    The impression left by the performance as a whole—covering creativity, expressiveness, technical proficiency, and the ability to captivate the audience.

 

Dance Judging Criteria (Online / Onsite)

    Evaluation of posture, movement fluidity, balance, and expressive body language.

    Ability to convey emotions and enhance the storytelling element of the performance through facial engagement.
  4. Technical Complexity
    Level of difficulty, originality, and intricacy in dance steps, transitions, and execution.
  5. Overall Stage Presence
    Judgment of artistic interpretation, creativity, confidence, and the overall visual and emotional impact of the performance.

 

Duet Dance Performance Evaluation Criteria

  1. Precision & Synchronization
    Evaluation of how well both dancers move in harmony with each other and stay aligned with the rhythm and music.
  2. Grace & Expression
    Assessment of elegance, posture, and the fluidity of movement displayed as a coordinated pair.
  3. Facial Expression & Storytelling
    Use of facial expressions to convey emotion, enhance performance depth, and engage the audience through visual storytelling.
  4. Choreographic Complexity
    Degree of difficulty, creativity, and execution of movements within the duet structure.
  5. Overall Presentation & Chemistry
    Impression of the act as a whole—artistic interpretation, stage presence, chemistry between partners, and audience impact.

 

Group Dance Performance Evaluation Criteria

  1. Coordination & Precision
    Evaluation of the group’s synchronization, timing, and seamless movement in alignment with rhythm and music.
  2. Collective Grace
    Assessment of overall posture, body control, and harmony in expressive movement across all performers.
  3. Facial Expression & Engagement
    Consistency in emotional expression and audience engagement demonstrated by all group members.
  4. Choreographic Complexity
    Level of difficulty in formations, transitions, spatial usage, and overall choreography execution.
  5. Overall Impact & Presentation

Fashion Performance Category (Judging Criteria – Online/Onsite)

  1. Runway Presence
    Evaluation of poise, confidence, and fluidity in catwalk/ramp walk presentation.
  2. Style, Pose & Elegance
    Assessment of fashion sense, posing technique, and overall elegance in body language.
  3. Confidence & Charisma
    Judging the participant’s stage confidence, personality, and unique “X-Factor” appeal.
  4. Attire & Photogenic Appeal
    Review of outfit selection, coordination, and on-camera visual impact.
  5. Communication & Q&A Round
    Evaluation of verbal expression, clarity, and confidence during interactive rounds or Q&A sessions.

I Got Talent (IGT) – Online/Onsite Judgement Criteria

Category: Acting

  1. Stage Presence & Commitment
    The performer displays full preparedness, enthusiasm, and commitment to the role.
  2. Character Styling & Presentation
    Costumes, makeup, hair, and accessories are appropriate and enhance character portrayal.
  3. Expressiveness & Voice Control
    Use of facial expressions, body language, and vocal delivery to convey emotion and bring the character to life.
  4. Creative Use of Props & Effects
    Integration of costumes, props, music, and sound effects to set the tone and environment for the performance.
  5. Stage Utilization & Choreographed Movement
    Confident and intentional use of the performance space with planned movements that enrich the character portrayal.

Instrumental Performance Criteria (Online/Onsite)

  1. Technique & Musicianship
    Assessment of technical skills, including meter, melody, finger and hand positioning, articulation (slurs, accents, attacks, cutoffs), tonguing, breath control, precision, accuracy, and memorization.
  2. Musical Interpretation
    Evaluation of how well the performer conveys the piece through tempo control, stylistic choices, phrasing, and dynamic variation.
  3. Stage Presentation
    Judgment based on stage presence, body posture, instrument handling, poise, and overall balance during the performance.
  4. Tone Quality
    Analysis of tone clarity, richness, strength, color, embouchure control (for wind instruments), and intonation.

Comedy Performance Judging Criteria

    Assessment of the uniqueness of content, originality of jokes or sketches, and creativity in storytelling or situational humor.

    Evaluation of the performer's comfort, confidence, and command over the stage throughout the act.

3iii Season 5 was celebrity judges packed season which included  Bollywood music legend Jatin Pandit, renowned for composing timeless hits for blockbuster films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, as the Grand Master.
