INTERNATIONAL INDIAN ICON (3iii) COMPETITION - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions govern the participation of individuals or groups (referred to as "3ions") in the International Indian Icon (3iii) competition, organized by the 3iii Talent Foundation (3iiiTF), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Chicago, IL, USA. By registering for this competition, participants agree to the following:
1. Participant Registration and ID Assignment
Any individual or group registering for the International Indian Icon (3iii) competition via the official websites, www.INTERNATIONALindianICON.com or www.3iii.us , will be referred to as a "3ion." Each participant will receive a unique 3iii Participant Identification number (3iii ID).
2. Eligibility Categories
Participants in the competition may register under the following categories:
3. Parental Consent for Minors
Participants under the age of 18 must provide consent from a parent or legal guardian to register. Without such consent, participation will be void.
4. Parental/Guardian Agreement
If the participant is under 18, the signing parent/guardian must agree to the terms on behalf of the participant and provide consent for participation in the competition.
5. Age and Authority
By registering, the participant confirms that they are at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to enter into this agreement and consent to the terms and conditions.
6. Originality and Copyright Compliance
Participants agree to perform original works and not violate any copyright or intellectual property rights of third parties. Any infringement will result in liability for which the participant will indemnify 3iiiTF.
7. Eligibility Determination
3iiiTF reserves the right to determine the eligibility of participants and to modify the eligibility requirements at any time without prior notice.
8. Grant of Rights for Use of Name, Likeness, and Performance
By participating, the 3ion grants 3iiiTF the irrevocable, exclusive right to record, photograph, perform, distribute, and use their name, likeness, voice, and performances for promotional and commercial purposes in any media, worldwide, for perpetuity.
9. Editing and Ownership of Content
3iiiTF retains the right to edit all content related to the competition, including film, recordings, and participant performances. All materials submitted by participants become the property of 3iiiTF.
10. Music, Photos, and Recordings Submission
Participants must ensure they own or control all rights to any submitted music, photos, dance, or recordings. By submitting, the participant grants 3iiiTF the rights to use such materials for the competition and related promotions.
11. Rights to Use Submissions
The participant grants 3iiiTF, without charge, the right to use any submitted music, photos, dance, or recordings in connection with the competition and any promotional activities worldwide, in perpetuity.
12. Indemnification and Liability
Participants agree to indemnify and hold 3iiiTF harmless from any liability or claims arising from the use of their performance or materials, including any copyright infringement or third-party claims.
13. Adherence to Rules
Participants must comply with all rules and instructions issued by 3iiiTF. Any violation of rules, including misconduct, will result in disqualification.
14. Audition and Selection Process
3iiiTF reserves the sole discretion to select participants for auditions and further rounds of the competition. Not all applicants will be granted an audition or selection.
15. Disqualification
Participants can be disqualified at any stage if they provide false or misleading information, fail to adhere to competition rules, or engage in disruptive behavior.
16. Involvement with Other Competitions
Participants selected for the 3iii competition must obtain permission from 3iiiTF to participate in any other competitions or performances during the contest duration.
17. Physical and Mental Health
Participants must be in a state of physical, emotional, and psychological health that enables them to perform in the competition. They must notify 3iiiTF if there is any change in their condition that may affect their participation.
18. Releases and Waivers
Participants release and hold harmless 3iiiTF, its affiliates, sponsors, and related parties from any claims or liabilities resulting from participation in the competition. This includes any injury, emotional distress, or harm caused directly or indirectly by participation.
19. Exclusive Contracts
The following exclusive contracts may be required:
Participants agree that, for the next seven years, they must obtain written permission from 3iiiTF before entering into any performance-related contract exceeding $10,000 USD.
20. No Legal Claims
Participants agree not to sue 3iiiTF or any of its affiliates for any reason, including issues arising from participation or non-participation in the competition.
21. Payment and Fees
All payments made to 3iiiTF, including but not limited to competition fees, evaluation fees, coaching, and event tickets, are non-refundable. Payments can be made online via PayPal, other designated payment methods, or by check or cash.
22. Amendments and Termination
3iiiTF reserves the right to remove a participant from the competition at any stage for failure to comply with the terms and conditions.
23. Jurisdiction and Legal Compliance
This agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. All disputes will be resolved under Illinois state law, and no participant will sue 3iiiTF in any court outside Illinois.
24. Changes to the Competition
3iiiTF reserves the right to change any details related to the competition, including dates, formats (online vs. onsite), fees, and locations at its discretion.
By checking the "Accept our Terms & Conditions" box at the end of the registration form, participants acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined above, under the jurisdiction of the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.
