About 3iii INTERNATIONAL INDIAN ICON (3iii), pronounced "Three Eye," is a globally recognized talent competition founded in 2017 by Sharan Walia, CEO of Gee Vision Inc., based in Naperville, IL, USA. Designed to showcase and elevate Indian-origin talent across the world, 3iii is known for its inclusive platform, hybrid participation model (online and onsite), and commitment to artistic excellence. With its globally trademarked logo and vision, 3iii has redefined global talent competitions.
Season 4 (2020) Overview Season 4 marked a transformational chapter in the evolution of 3iii, pushing boundaries and overcoming challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. With other competitions on pause globally, 3iii adapted swiftly, transitioning entirely to a virtual format and expanding its global footprint.
Unprecedented Participation & Global Reach
- Total Participants: 5,447 artists across seven performance categories
- Semi-Finalists: 159
- Finalists: 56
- Participating Countries: 32, including USA, Canada, UK, European nations, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa, Caribbean, and the Middle East
- Regions Represented: 107 across six continents (North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, Middle East)
Season Highlights
- Expansion to the Middle East: For the first time, 3iii welcomed talent from Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and UAE, unlocking opportunities for Indian performers in the region.
- Hybrid Participation Model: Despite COVID-19, 3iii maintained continuity with an online competition model via Zoom and StreamYard.
- Inclusivity & Accessibility: Artists from remote regions and limited means gained access to a global stage without the burden of travel.
